4th Annual Chili Cook Off Planned at Pascagoula Senior Center

Plans are underway for the 4th Annual Senior Chili Cook-Off at Pascagoula Senior Center, 1912 Live Oak Ave. in Pascagoula, which will be held Thursday, February 26th, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Treat yourself to a delicious lunch for a dollar on February 26 at Pascagoula Senior Center. The community is invited to taste the different chili recipes and cast your vote in the “People’s Choice Award” for the best tasting chili.

Doors open and entertainment, door prize drawings and chili tasting begin at 10 a.m. Sample chili and cast votes until 1 p.m. and enjoy more entertainment and door prizes until 2 p.m. when the winner(s) will be announced. Also available will be a variety of lunch items from Ms. Bea’s Kitchen that will include soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts for $1 each. All proceeds from this event will benefit the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life.

With the American Cancer Society, this event is presented by Camellia Home Health and Hospice, Singing River Health and Rehabilitation and the City of Pascagoula. Tables are available to any business or group who would like to enter the Chili Cook-Off, or have an exhibit, for $100 per table. Any group is welcome to enter your recipe in the hopes of winning the title of “Best Chili in Jackson County”. This is a wonderful social and business opportunity for senior adults and organizations servicing this demographic.
