Update on Gulfport shooting investigation

Here is the latest on a shooting that occurred last night in Gulfport in the 100 block of Holly Circle.
Gulfport police responded to Garden Park Hospital in reference to a 25-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim gave inconsistent versions of events, including that he was shot by an unknown suspect.
Officers investigating the scene of the incident were able to recover evidence of gunfire. The victim is not fully cooperating with detectives working that case.
This is the second shooting to take place in Gulfport within the last 24 hours. Anyone with information regarding either of these cases is urged to contact the Gulfport Police Department at 228-868-5959.
