Dog Owner Speaks Out

A teenager is still recovering after a pit bull attacked him and his brother last night in Biloxi.
Today News 25 caught up with the family who owns the dog that they say is a pit bull and lab mix.
A bloody shoe remains in the front yard from the attack. Dog owners tell News 25 the shoe belongs to the older brother who was life-flighted to a specialty hospital after the attack. The dog is said to be a family pet and has never attacked anyone before.
Owners tell News 25 the kids were agitating the dog.
News 25 has also reached out to the family of the victims and have not received a comment yet.
The dog was taken into custody by Biloxi Animal Control. It is still unknown the fate of the dog.
No criminal charges have been filed.
