USM baseball schedule finalized

Up in Hattiesburg, the Southern Miss baseball team had a little hiccup with its scheduling, but today the program finally released its official slate for 2018.
Yesterday, reports surfaced of HB1523 costing USM a three game home series versus Stonybrook, a public university in Long Island.
Instead, the Golden Eagles will replace those games with an appearance in Stephen F. Austin’s tournament and will still open up the new campaign at Pete Taylor Park against Mississippi State starting February 16th.
Last season, the Black and Gold set a school record with 50 wins, hosted their first regional since 2003, and captured a regular season Conference USA title.
