Danielle Dewitt Appeal In Court

Former Hancock High School Coach Leslie Danielle Dewitt should find out the outcome of her appeal today.

Her appeal is against the 30 year sentence she received after being found guilty on two counts of unlawful touching of a child for lustful purposes.
Last month Dewitt’s attorney, Jim Davis, filed a motion for a new trial based on claims that one juror was not completely honest when questioned about his residency in Hancock County during the selection process.
Separate motions were also filed requesting a lesser sentence and asking for a bond appeal.
A decision will be made in Dewitt’s case on this afternoon at 1:30pm.
