Justice for Cheyenne

Ryan Hyer, the father of three-year-old Cheyenne Hyer who lost her life after being left in a hot car, is looking for justice.
Hyer is in town for the hearing of Cassie Barker, Cheyenne’s mother and a former Long Beach police officer. Barker has been charged with manslaughter and is currently out on bond.
Hyer has voiced his frustration over the handling of the case so far and he plans to sue the Long Beach Police Department and the Mississippi Department of Child Protective Services. Cheyenne Hyer had been taken into protective custody previously, but Hyer claims he was never notified of the incident.
Cassie Barker’s preliminary hearing is set for tomorrow morning.
