The New Year is only days a way and that means it is time to get your 2018 calendars.
This year, the Jackson County Animal Shelter can help you with that purchase. The animal shelters 2018 calendar is now for sale for $15. You can buy the calendar at the shelter or call the shelter and order one and it can be sent to you.
In this year’s calendar you will be able to see some friendly faces from the animal lovers here at WXXV gracing the pages. The calendar is also in loving memory of Sophia Myers of Ocean Springs who died earlier this year. Maridee Mallette with the Jackson County Animal Shelter said, “Sophia meant a lot to us. She did a lot for the shelter. She helped get donations for us. She loved animals and we want to do something for her and her family in memory of her because she did love the shelter so much. The 2018 calendars, the money goes for like heartworm tests and things we need to buy. Sometimes we need emergency money stuff like that and help with adoption events, all kinds of stuff.”
