Fundraiser Today for Former Papa John’s Employee

Papa John’s Pizza will be hosting a fundraiser today for one of their former employees, Brittany Berry.
Brittany’s vehicle was struck during a high speed chase in D’Iberville. The 22-year-old suffered four broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a broken pelvis and a bleeding spleen.
Today, 10 percent of all sales from the Papa John’s D’Iberville and Gulfport location will help Brittany with her hospital expenses.
While she is no longer employed by the pizza chain, one local Papa John’s general manager tells News 25 once you’re part of the family, you never truly leave. General Manager Jason Edwards said, “I’ve been a member with the team for about 10 years now and that’s something that I’ve always loved about this company. We’re family and we take care of each other. Even if you aren’t an employee with us anymore, we still take care of family. When you’re family, you’re family. You can’t quit on family.”
If pizza may not be on the menu for today, cash donations are also accepted at Papa John’s location in Gulfport and D’Iberville.
