Bicycle Donations for the Holidays

For the third year in a row a local bicycle club is teaming up with schools on the coast to make sure no children go without a gift this holiday season. The Gulf coast Bicycle Club will be donating one hundred thirty two bicycles. That’s up from 115 last year. The bikes will go to schools on the coast including thirty to Pineville Elementary in Pass Christian.
“Every year we choose different districts, and different schools and we try to reach as many people as possible. We have people from all over the coast donating, so we try to distribute them all over the coast.” said Eddie Holmes, President of the Gulf Coast Bicycle Club.”It makes it a special Christmas for the kids that may not be getting much of anything else. At least they can wake up and have this bike” said Vivian Bosworth, Principal of Pineville Elementary. The club also donated toys to the kids who are not able to ride a bike.
