Murder Conviction

It took a jury three hours today to find a 23-year-old man guilty of first degree murder.
Henry Harvey was found guilty of the shooting death of 29-year-old Eddie Briggs in January 2015. Testimony showed the defendant shot the victim after an altercation at the Emerald Pine apartments in Gulfport.
The witness then testified to seeing the defendant walking towards the victim with his arm extended and then hearing another gunshot.
Surveillance video showed the defendant dragging the victim’s body from the apartments to the sidewalk.
Harvey’s sentencing will take place on October 25th.
