Mississippi School Districts Graded

The Mississippi Department of Education released letter grades for school districts across the state. The accountability system is based on an “A” through “F” system.
For the 2015-2016 school years, district grades include 14 “A” districts, 39 “B” districts, 36 “C” districts, 35 “D” districts and 19 “F” districts.
These results are based on the Mississippi Assessment Program for English, language arts and mathematics. The MAP tests are given to students in third grade through high school.
Long Beach and Bay St. Louis high schools rank in the top 10 in the state when it comes to highest graduation rates.
Pass Christian, Gulfport and Long Beach school districts also rank in the top 10 when it comes to lowest dropout rates.
