Fair Food for a Good Cause

Pascagoula police are writing a different kind of ticket at the Jackson County Fair today. Tickets for cheeseburger orders, French fries and seafood gumbo that is!
Local churches and the Pascagoula Police Department are serving up food for a good cause at the Jackson County Fair this week.
Police flipping burgers tell News 25 the money raised goes to support organizations for youth sports, schools, officers in need, and local charities.
Sgt. Richard Davis said, “We have a big menu. We do fried catfish, fried shrimp. We do gumbo, chicken, chicken strips, hamburgers, cheeseburgers.”
Patrol Officer Patrick Brandle said, “The City of Pascagoula is outstanding. The community is amazing. That’s what we’re supposed to do. We are supposed to give back. That’s just what you do!”
The Jackson County Fair will be in Pascagoula until Sunday night. Rides and shows open at 4 p.m. tomorrow and 2 p.m. Friday.
