Wil Lutz Receives Drug Test Notice

With the Saints and Panthers tied at 38 in the waning moments of the fourth quarter, rookie kicker Wil Lutz left New Orleans no doubt with a 52 yard game-winning field goal. Perhaps that’s why the National Football League found a reason to have its own doubts.
According to reports, the Who Dat hero made his way to the team facility only to receive a notice to submit a routine drug test.
The Georgia State product took to Twitter, posting a picture with a caption that simply read: “random.”
It’s not like Lutz has been super human either, considering he missed from 53 earlier in the game. “What I’ve been preaching to you guys all year is that it’s about the next kick,” said Lutz. “I’ve said every time in an interview it’s about making the next kick. My job is to make the kicks and obviously I’ll go back and see what happened on the 53 yarder. I’m not happy about that at all, but I bounced back and that’s what it’s about.”
The Saints brought in Lutz after being waived by the Baltimore Ravens in the pre-season. They were so impressed they signed him on the spot.
The NFL must be impressed too by the same leg that kicked a 57 yarder against Atlanta back in September.
