Judge Margaret Alfonso Sworn In as Youth Court Judge

Judge Alfonso was sworn in before an assembly of friends and family, as well as other members of the Harrison County court circuit. She will hear cases involving children alleged to be abused, among other cases involving delinquents and crime. Judge Alfonso also works closely with organizations that help make a difference in the lives of children in south Mississippi.

Alfonso says, "I want to continue to work, to provide services for the children, because we deal with such complex family issues here, that it takes a collaborative effort among professionals to work toward resolution of those problems."

Judge Alfonso defeated Hebert W. Wilson in the re-election for Harrison County court with 68% of the vote. She looks forward to working as Youth Court Judge for the next four years.
