GAS STATION CLERK SHOT DURING ARMED ROBBERY
Pascagoula Police Dept. Lt. Doug Adams tells News 25, a gas station attendant is currently in the hospital suffering from gun shot wounds.
He says around 3 am on Thursday October 13, a black male suspect walked into the Murphy Express at the intersection of HWY 90 and Chicot Road. Upon entering, he revealed a .22 handgun and demanded money. Lt. Adams says the attendant did not resist, but for some reason the suspect fired on the attendant. She ducked behind the counter, but still suffered gunshot wounds. She was transferred to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
The suspect did not take any money and fled the scene on foot. He’s described as 5’11” to 6 foot tall black male, wearing a maroon shirt and black pants. Lt. Adams says when police are able to gain access to security footage they will release the suspect’s photo.
