The Gulfport Police Department arrested 19 year old, Deandre Dashawn-Antonio Ball, of Gulfport, on the charge of murder Sunday afternoon.

Ball turned himself in to the Biloxi Police Department. He was later transported to the Gulfport Police Department where he was served with the arrest warrant for murder.

Ball’s arrest resulted from an investigation into the murder of Trevues Oshun Martin that occurred on September 13, 2016. On that date, patrol officers responded to an address in the 3900 block of Monterey Drive in reference to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult black male, later identified as Martin, deceased in the front seat of a vehicle. It was observed that Martin suffered from a gunshot wound to the head. Medical personnel and Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove were summoned to the scene along with Gulfport Police Department detectives.

During a follow up investigation, Ball was developed as the suspect who shot Martin. Based on the information obtained, a warrant was issued for Ball’s arrest on the charge of murder.

After booking and other procedures, Ball was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility to be held in lieu of a $250,000.00 bond set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray.
