MGCCC not retaining head football coach
The Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College football program is in search of its next head coach after announcing today that it will not retain Chad Huff beyond this season.
The Bulldogs finished with a winning record in 2017, going 5-4 overall and 3-3 in MACJC south division play. Overall, Huff went 26-14 in four seasons with MGCCC, but failed to make the playoffs once again.
The decision was announced by first-year athletic director Steven Campbell Jr. who played football at Perk when Huff was the defensive coordinator. The school will begin its quest for the next head man immediately.
On a side note, Gautier alum and freshman running back DeAndre Torrey ended the regular season as the nation’s second leading rusher with nearly 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns.
