8/30 Ryan’s “Sunny Tuesday” Forecast
It’s been a sunny and dry start to the week so far, and the good news is that I don’t expect many drastic changes to the forecast for some time. Expect the increase in sunlight to increase our temperatures into the mid 90s by the time the weekend comes around, but I’m expecting an approaching cold front and the exit of the tropical depression 9 to leave us with some cooler, drier air through Labor Day weekend. Only small chances of showers during the afternoon from Friday to Monday.
Still no change out of the tropics either. TD 8 & 9 continue to hold in intensity, but did strengthen and organize slightly. We are expecting one or both to become tropical storms within the next day, but neither should strengthen beyond that. TD 9 has given all indications that it will begin it’s Northerly turn and will make landfall around Thursday near Tallahassee. A small chance of a more Westward track is still possible, so we will continue to monitor the system’s development and give regular updates.
