Pascagoula Police Department performs water rescue

The passenger and driver of a car stranded in Pascagoula flood water are safe thanks to a bold rescue from the Pascagoula Police Department.

This happened Tuesday afternoon after Hurricane Ida made its way through the Gulf Coast.

Officer Murphy and Sgt. Collier jumped right in the rising flood waters to save the two individuals trapped in the swamped car.

Officer Murphy, Sgt. Collier, and the two individuals in need of rescue all made it out safely.
