08/25 Ryan’s “Waiting on the Tropics” Thursday Forecast

Today seemed primed to answer many questions we had about what will occur in the tropics over the next week, but areas of wind shear is slowing the development of both current systems. Tropical models have pushed Invest 99’s forecast track further South and West than yesterdays’s, which is troublesome, but certainly not a guarantee of landfall. The beginning of next week will give us a much clearer picture of the final path and intensity of what will likely be Tropical Storm or Hurricane Hermine by that time.

Locally, we’ll see a bit drier weather on Friday, but the chance of showers and t-storms lingers nearly every day after that. Expect the hot and humid conditions with highs in the low 90s to continue for the next week.
