New Orleans off to 0-2 start for fourth straight season

The New Orleans Saints are off to an 0-2 start for the fourth year in a row and the team that’s next on the schedule isn’t necessarily who they’d like to see on the other side of the field in week three.
As NFC South foes, the Black and Gold do battle with the Carolina Panthers twice a year and the latter has won at least one of those games each year dating back to 2012.
Overall, Who Dat Nation is 3-7 against the Panthers over the last five seasons, although last year’s games were both decided by three points.
The first win of the season couldn’t come soon enough for the Saints, who are already two games behind Carolina and the Atlanta Falcons in the division. New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees said, “We only have one way to go and that’s up, right? And we go on the road in the division against a very good Carolina team, so there’s not much time to dwell on anything other than making the corrections that need to be made and focusing on a great game plan for this coming week.”
New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton said, “We just finished talking about the sprint here that we’re in to improve each week. Obviously, you start off like this and there’s disappointment and yet we’ve got the right type of locker room, but we’re going to have to respond quickly. We play Carolina and go on the road for another week, so we’ll find out a little bit about what we’re made of.”
The Saints don’t play their second home game until week six of the regular season, following their trip across the pond to play the Miami Dolphins and their week five bye.
