Saints trade away Stephone Anthony

The Saints started the 2017 season with a pair of homecoming games featuring Adrian Peterson’s return to Minnesota and Brandin Cooks coming back to New Orleans. Today that homecoming tour just got even longer.
The Saints have traded away linebacker Stephone Anthony in exchange for Miami’s 2018 fifth round draft pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Of course, the Black and Gold play the Dolphins in week four when the two teams get together in London.
A former first round pick, Anthony led New Orleans in tackles as a rookie in 2015, but struggled with his move from middle to strong side linebacker and has been plagued with injuries throughout his career.
The Saints are down to five linebackers on the 53 man roster.
