Rock N Roll Over Benefit
It’s the sixth annual Rock N Roll Over fundraiser of the South Mississippi Humane Society and this year they’re taking it back to the 60s.
The event is held at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi and it features some rad raffles, an out-of-sight silent auction and of course some adorable adoptables. There are over 300 groovy auction items like a signed guitar by the Rolling Stones, a Beatles album signed by Paul and Ringo and more.
This year’s event is helping out their Chicken Soup Fund and they are hoping to reach their goal of $30,000. Katie King with the Humane Society of South Mississippi said, “With the 8,000 animals that we see annually, that costs a great deal obviously. It takes about $2.2 million to operate the shelter on a yearly basis. This is a huge portion of that which helps out a great deal. This year, our proceeds are going toward our Chicken Soup Fund which cares for the sick and injured animals that come into the shelter.”
