Gulf Coast Symphony opening weekend

This time of year means festive socks and football for many, but it’s also the time of year for a classical celebration.
Tomorrow the 2017-2018 season for the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra begins. This year will feature three internationally acclaimed guest artists, a new concert curtain time, and a live words on music lecture prior to each concert.
Saturday’s show starts at 7:30 p.m. Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra Music Director Peter Rubardt said, “Also, a great pianist on tap. Jasmine Arakawa will be here for the Schumann concerto. A Mendelssohn’s overture to get us started. This is the type of music we really love to play and the audiences really love to hear this.”
Opening night starts Saturday, September 16th at the Biloxi Saenger Theatre. Season tickets begin at $175 and concert tickets begin at $35. Twenty dollar tickets are available for students and military. For more information visit www.gulfcoastsymphony.net or call 228-896-4276.
