Hurricane Harvey fly through

As Hurricane Harvey grows in strength, a plane full of Hurricane Hunters are getting a closer look at the eye of the storm.
In the time lapse video from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, you can see just how drastic the change is from the raging storm to the calm of the hurricane’s eye.
According to NOAA, the storm was upgraded to category 2 hurricane status Friday just after midnight central time. It has now been upgraded to category 3.
Forecasters expect winds in excess of 100 miles per hour and a dangerous storm surge as the storm makes landfall. Harvey is expected to make landfall on the Texas coast between Corpus Christi and Port O’Connor tonight or early Saturday morning.
