Sharp Declines to Endorse Candidate

Friday, Gulfport City Councilman and former Circuit 2 Court Judge candidate, Myles Sharp, announced he will not endorse either of the two remaining candidates in the the Circuit 2 Court runoff race scheduled for November 25th. The two remaining candidates in the race are Chris Schmidt and Robert Fant Walker. Here is the statement Sharp released to News 25:

"I have been asked by multiple media outlets, and each of the candidates, whether I intend to make an endorsement for the runoff of this important judicial election. While I am honored to be asked, I know and remain friends with each of the two candidates, and out of respect for each of them, and for those who supported me, I simply feel it is not proper for me to inject myself into their race. I will be voting in the runoff, and encourage everyone else to do so as well. I will not be commenting further publicly or privately on this matter, and wish them both the best of luck."
