Pass Christian Elementary students showcase Halloween experiments

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)- Second grade students at Pass Christian Elementary School turned their classroom into a spooky science lab, showcasing their knowledge through a series of Halloween-inspired experiments.

The school’s explore gifted class put their science skills on display with interactive experiments designed to educate and entertain.

Students from pre-K through second grade, along with family members, and school staff, gathered to watch the young scientists in action.

Each presentation combined the scientific process with creativity, giving students an opportunity to practice public speaking, and performance skills. Gifted Education Teacher Jane Bunn said, “I was so proud to see them be able to perform in front of their peers. In the gifted program, we work on research, communication skills, teamwork, and seeing them putting all the pieces of that together and being able to perform in front of students, their peers, and parents is a very proud moment. They’re taking all those skills that we work on in the gifted program and they’re putting it all together and it’s just a really good way for them to show all that they’ve learned so far in second grade.”

The event marked the class’s first public speaking and performing arts presentation, giving students a chance to share what they’ve learned in a fun and memorable way.
