Ingalls Shipbuilding awards grants to local organizations
Ingalls Shipbuilding is awarding grants to nine local nonprofits and community-based organizations in Mississippi and Alabama.
Of those grants, eight are staying in Mississippi.
This is part of the community partner program. This year’s awards total $20,000 in community investment and helps strengthen the programs that benefit residents.
Recipients include Back Bay Mission, Caiden’s Corner, and the Children’s Advocacy Center of Mississippi.
Also receiving grants are Extra Table, The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence, the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, the Mississippi Aquarium, and the Pink Heart Funds.
Ingalls officials say the grant program is a chance to fund organizations in ways that make them stronger and more capable of doing important work.
