Biloxi Shuckers host watch party for Brewers World Series game

BILOXI, Miss. — It was a special night at Keesler Federal Park as baseball fans gathered in Biloxi to watch the Milwaukee Brewers take on the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 4 of the World Series.

The Biloxi Shuckers hosted a World Series watch party, giving fans a chance to come together and cheer on the Brewers as they looked to make history. With a win, Milwaukee would secure the franchise’s first-ever World Series title.

Fans watched the action on the big screen at Keesler Federal Park, with concession stands open throughout the event. Season Ticket Members also received special access to on-field batting practice before the game.

Shuckers media relations manager and broadcaster Javik Blake discussed the excitement surrounding the Brewers and what the World Series means to the Biloxi organization and its fans.

“This is awesome. It’s not too often that the Brewers are in the world series. It’s the first time in 44 years. 13 former Biloxi Shuckers are on the World Series roster is also not something that happens very often, and potentially 19 different former Shuckers to get a World Series ring if the Brewers can finish this out is so special,” said Media Relations Manager and Broadcaster Javik Blake. “All of our fans are here. The Yacht Club is packed with our season ticket holders. People from all over the coast have shown up to show their support for the Brewers and the Shuckers and it’s so special.”

Unfortunately the Rays win game four, but the Brewers still have a chance to claim the title Wednesday night! You can watch the series on WXXV Fox 25!
