Hancock’s Madison Reso honored for Class 6A Miss Volleyball Award

Hancock Lady Hawks setter Madison Reso added another milestone to her volleyball career, earning one of the highest individual honors in Mississippi high school volleyball.

Reso was recognized Thursday in Clinton at a special awards luncheon hosted by the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) and the Mississippi Association of Coaches after being selected as Class 6A Miss Volleyball.

Miss Volleyball is the highest individual honor a high school volleyball player can receive in Mississippi. Reso was also the only setter selected for the award this year.

The senior has been a key part of Hancock’s success throughout her career, recording 1,560 assists, including 712 during the 2026 season alone. Reso also recorded 30 assists in the Lady Hawks’ state championship match.

After helping lead Hancock through another successful season, the recognition serves as a testament to Reso’s impact on the court and her role in the Lady Hawks’ program.

Reso says she hopes earning the prestigious honor will inspire other setters and athletes at Hancock to continue working toward their goals and making their own mark on the program.

We wish Madison the best of luck as she continues her volleyball career at Jones College!
