OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Ocean Springs is warning residents about a scam going around the area.

Residents are receiving emails that claim to come from the city as invoices.

The city reminds residents to never share banking details or personal information through email.

You should block and delete the email immediately.

Residents are advised to stay alert and share this notice with friends and family to prevent future fraud.
