Road closure scheduled on Church Street in Gulfport

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Gulfport is alerting the public to a road closure set to start on Thursday.

A section of Church Street between Watkins Avenue and Tegarden Road will be closed as crews install a sewer tap.

Work is set to begin at 8 Thursday morning with everything wrapped up by 3 p.m. Friday.

Watkins Avenue, East Pass Road, and Tegarden Road will serve as the detour routes.

While the roadway is closed to traffic, residents will still have access to their homes.
