Pass Christian home saved due to early detection

Pass Christian, Miss. (WXXV)- Last week, the Pass Christian Fire Department responded to an alarm activated by a smoke detector in a home.

When firefighters arrived, they found a pot left on the stove with the contents inside burned.

Fortunately, the system alerted fire crews before the situation became worse. Pass Christian Fire using this to remind the public detection units matter.

They also add a few things to remember:

• Never leave cooking unattended
• Have working smoke alarms throughout your home
• Test alarms regularly and make sure everyone knows what to do if they sound
