Kamala Harris coming to Mississippi to campaign for Scott Colom
MISSISSIPPI (WXXV)- Former Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to travel to Mississippi Thursday, October 22, to campaign with District Attorney Scott Colom.
Harris and Colom will hold a rural healthcare roundtable in Clarksdale at 1:30 p.m. The campaign says healthcare providers, patients and community members will discuss the impact of Medicaid
cuts on rural healthcare and hospitals in Mississippi. Harris is also scheduled to headline a get-out-the-vote rally in Columbus later Thursday. The campaign says the event is aimed at mobilizing
Mississippi voters ahead of Election Day. Colom, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, is running against incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith in the Nov. 3 general election.
