Woman killed in crash on I-59 in Pearl River County

Pearl River County, Miss. – On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Interstate 59 in Pearl River County.

A 2016 Kia Sedona driven by 77-year-old Barbara Haralson, and passenger, 36-year-old Kelton Haralson, both of Picayune, MS, traveled north on Interstate 59 when it ran off the road and collided with a tree.

Barbara and Kelton sustained injuries from the crash and were transported to a local hospital where Barbara was later pronounced dead.

This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
