Bicyclist struck and killed by train in Biloxi

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — A bicyclist was struck and killed by a train in Biloxi Tuesday morning.

According to Biloxi Police Department, the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. near Eisenhower Drive and Railroad Street.

Officials said a male bicyclist was traveling through the area and attempted to cross the railroad tracks when he was struck by an oncoming train.

The bicyclist died as a result of his injuries. The identity of the victim has not been released.
