Singing River Electric crews deployed to help restore power following Hurricane Isaias
Singing River Electric lineman are traveling to help restore power after Hurricane Isaias.
The crew left for Choctaw Hatchee Electric Cooperative to help restore electricity to nearly 52,000 cooperative members affected by the storm.
The deployment comes after Singing River Electric crews spent Friday and early Saturday responding to power outages in their own service area.
The cooperative says the mutual aid effort reflects the spirit of cooperation among electric cooperatives as crews work to get the lights back on for customers.
