Failure to pay child support arrest

A Gulfport man was arrested in Jackson County on one felony count of nonsupport of a child. Forty-one year-old Richard Jermaine Macklin was arrested by investigators following a June indictment by a grand jury.
He was booked into the Jackson County Adult Detention Center and will be arraigned at a later date by Jackson County Court Judge Robert Krebs.
Macklin faces up to five years in prison if convicted and a possible $500 fine.
