GCVHCS awarded grants for suicide prevention
The VA is awarding more than $246,000 to organizations working to strengthen suicide prevention efforts in Mississippi.
The grant will support community organizations serving veterans in Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.
The funding is part of $112 million in grants awarded nationwide to 191 organizations through the Staff Sgt. Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant program.
The grants are available to nonprofits, state and local governments, federally recognized tribes and other community-based organizations that have demonstrated a capacity to serve veterans.
