Two charged for shooting into a crowd in Gulfport
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Two people are behind bars after Gulfport police say they fired a gun near a group of bystanders.
Police arrested 25-year-old Marc Samuel Humphrey II and 22-year-old Mackenzie Alexis Humphrey Thursday.
The arrests stem from an incident last Friday night in the 500 block of Courthouse Road.
Police say a verbal altercation at a nearby business led to someone in a gray vehicle firing a gun near bystanders.
Detectives later identified the Humphreys as suspects.
Both are charged with shooting into an assembly or group and are being held on $250,000 bonds each.
