New Mississippi Development Authority executive director announced

Governor Tate Reeves has named a new director for the Mississippi Development Authority.

PJ Waldrop takes over the role Thursday, following the retirement of Bill Cork.

Waldrop most recently served as MDA’s deputy executive director and chief operating officer, helping oversee the state’s economic and community development efforts, following stints as a staffer for U.S senators Thad Cochran, David Perdue, and Saxby Chambliss.

Reeves says Waldrop will help build on the state’s recent investments and job growth.
