City of Ocean Springs to unveil new gateway sculpture
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- A new piece of public art will soon welcome visitors to Ocean Springs.
The city will unveil its new gateway sculpture at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Porter Avenue and Highway 90 near the base of the Biloxi Bay Bridge.
The project is a partnership between the city, the Mississippi legislature, and the Walter Anderson Museum of Art.
The sculpture is designed to be a showcase of Ocean Springs’ history, culture, and natural landscape while creating a distinctive welcome into the city.
