One killed in crash on I-59 in Pearl River County

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A deadly crash on Interstate 59 in Pearl River County is under investigation.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says the crash happened Saturday afternoon around 1 o’clock.

A car was traveling north on I-59 when it ran off the roadway and hit a tree.

The driver, 51-year-old Danny Breaux Jr. of Lumberton, sustained fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passenger, 26-year-old Danny Breaux III, was taken to a local hospital with injuries.
