AG Commissioner issues order designating agriculture events as excused absences

With the state changing how absences are handled, Agricultural Commissioner Andy Gipson is issuing an order designating agricultural events as excused absences.

Those events include the state fair livestock shows, Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo, any 4H or FFA education events or field days and other events.

Commissioner Gipson also provides sample letters when requesting an excused absence.
