City of Biloxi warning against invoice scam

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Biloxi is warning residents about a scam going around targeting the community development department.

Fraudulent invoices are being sent out, claiming to be from the city, the planning commission, or a city planning division.

The letters and emails are sent to anyone who submitted applications through the planning commission.

The city tells applicants that required fees are collected when plans, permits, or applications are submitted at the beginning of the process.
