GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A 46-year-old Louisiana woman is facing a handful of charges in George County.

According to the George County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call came in around 7 a.m. last Thursday from a weigh station on Highway 98.

The sheriff’s office says the caller was waiting on a Mississippi Highway Patrol escort for an oversized load carrying an aircraft when the woman reportedly approached his truck, accused him of spying on her, and being affiliated with the government.

She allegedly hit his truck, threatened him with a knife, and demanded he get out.

Deputies arrived and saw the suspect vehicle leaving the weigh station. The vehicle initially stopped, but the driver later fled, leading to a pursuit through multiple jurisdictions before the driver was taken into custody.

The suspect was identified as Tiffany Taylor. She is charged with disorderly conduct, fleeing, or eluding law enforcement in a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and simple assault.

Investigators say narcotics were also seized from the vehicle.

GCSO says she will also have pending controlled substance charges through the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
