Southern Miss expanding scholarship aimed at growing state’s blue economy

Southern Miss is extending a unique scholarship program aimed at growing the state’s blue economy after the grant funding was renewed.

The Coastal Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Scholarship has received an extension through February 2031.

The program combines engineering, business, and entrepreneurship and covers all tuition and fees for students pursuing an MBA through the program.

Southern Miss leaders say it is the only program of its kind in Mississippi, preparing students to develop new technologies and businesses along the Gulf Coast.
