Hancock Whitney Classic adds 12 additional games in Biloxi this fall
College teams from the Gulf South will compete on the diamond this fall as part of the Hancock Whitney Classic (Biloxi Shuckers)
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — The Biloxi Shuckers have announced 12 additional fall ball exhibition games as part of the Hancock Whitney Classic, bringing several college baseball programs to Keesler Federal Park this fall.
Among the highlights is the return of LSU, which will face Samford in a pair of games on Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1.
The expanded schedule also includes Memphis, Southeastern Louisiana and Pearl River Community College. Pearl River is coming off a 2026 NJCAA Division II National Championship.
“We’re excited to welcome 13 additional programs to Keesler Federal Park this fall, including Southeastern Louisiana, Memphis, Samford, LSU and Pearl River,” Shuckers General Manager Hunter Reed said. “These fan bases are some of the most passionate in college baseball with several future professionals on their rosters and partnering with Hancock Whitney to continue these games is an honor.”
The newly announced schedule begins Sept. 30 with three games featuring Pearl River Community College, Dothan and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
Three more games are scheduled for Oct. 1, featuring Delgado, Jones and Northwest Florida.
Meridian, Chipola and Shelton are also scheduled to compete, while Memphis will face Southeastern Louisiana on Oct. 24.
