Gulf Islands Water Park in Gulfport wraps up 2026 season

For Gulf Islands Waterpark, Labor Day also marks the end of another season on the Coast.

After an eventful holiday weekend, park officials are celebrating a year of growth, highlighted by the reopening of Blue Bayou Water Park in Baton Rouge.

To close out the season, the park even offered a special Labor Day promo, giving guests three tickets for the price of one.

Now, crews are shifting their focus to improvements ahead of next season. Gulf Islands Waterpark General Manager Daniel Nguyen said, “It’s been a great season. We started off a little rainy, but it’s been hot. Lots of family fun, lots of soaking fun. We also reopened Blue Bayou this year. We just took over that park, and we were able to offer a two-park season pass that allowed a lot of people on the Coast to go over there, have some fun, come over here, have some fun. Just lots of family members made this year. So, we’re gonna pour a lot of money into making sure the park looks nice for us next year, and the two-park pass is coming back. We’re gonna have a lot of fun with that.”

Gulf Islands Waterpark is expected to reopen next May. Seasons go on sale again starting Black Friday.
