Gulfport woman charged with assaulting special needs son

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- A Gulfport woman is behind bars, accused of slashing her special needs son in the head with a knife.
Harrison County sheriff’s deputies responded this week to a reported stabbing in the 10,000 block of Steeplechase Drive.
Investigators say 62-year-old Dianne Feazell slashed the side of her son’s head during the incident.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
Feazell is now charged with domestic aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
She is being held at the Harrison County jail on a one-million-dollar bond.
